As an artist, there are so many forms of inspiration: Nature, certain brush strokes, combinations of color, other artists… I love color, splatters and loose, suggestive brush strokes.
My training in drawing taught me the more rigid and exact way to create. Watercolor has taught me the other end of the spectrum: loose, wet and free-flowing. It’s addictive and has opened a whole new world for me. But underneath it all, I’m thankful for the sound foundation I have of lines, color and composition.
Without that, my works would probably flow away to Neverland.
